The premiere of "Hairspray Live" is just around the corner. And for writer and director, John Waters, the story is something that he keeps returning too. Waters wrote and directed the original movie back in 1988. In a recent interview, Waters credits "Hairspray's" success to it's unlikely heroine, Tracy Turnblad. He said: "The character of Tracy appeals to everybody. Even Trump supporters think of themselves as outsiders, and they won.
