Now that Anne Rice has the theatrical rights to her own series of vampire-themed novels, the genre innovator is excited about casting for a television series based on her works. And the "Interview With the Vampire" author already has a good idea of who she'd like to play one of her main characters.
Fans of Interview With the Vampire may remember Brad Pitt's portrayal of Louis de Pointe du Loc in the film. In both the book and the film, Louis is turned undead by the vampire Lestat.
Rice says she wants Matt Bomer to play the character. "It?s Louis? beauty that attracted Lestat to him," she says, "and I would hope it would be a beautiful actor like Matt Bomer."
