In Denzel Washington's upcoming film adaptation of the play, "Fences," he not only stars as the story's main character, but he also directed the movie. Unlike typical movie adaptations where most of the roles are recast for larger Hollywood icons, almost the entire cast of the 2010 Broadway revival returned for the film. That includes Stephen McKinley Henderson, Viola Davis, Russell Hornsby and Mykelti Williamson. Henderson plays Washington's best friend and fellow garbageman. In a recent interview, Henderson sang high praises of working with Washington as a director, and said: "He made certain to take care of every other actor first and then turned the camera on himself."
