Dolly Parton is a staple in the Country Music industry; super talented and truly a sweet Southern belle. However, being the icon she is today was not an easy journey. Parton sat down with Rueters for 'Life Lessons' to answer a few questions on what it was like growing up in a one room cabin in the Smoky Mountains. "I think being poor has been good for me," Dolly said. "I saw how my mom and dad struggled, and how they could stretch a dollar farther than you could begin to imagine."
