It was a night of nostalgia at The Soul Train Awards, with performances by Brandy and Dru Hill, two artists who were dominating the R&B scene in the 90s. Jill Scott presented Brandy with a Lady of Soul award before Brandy "performed a medley of some of her biggest hits, including ?The Boy Is Mine? and ?I Wanna Be Down.?" She was also joined by Mase for their duet, "?Top of the World.? The awards ceremony opened with a performance by Dru Hill performing some of their greatest hits as well, and lead singer Sisqo performed his 1999 hit "Thong Song."
