Happy birthday, Karen Gillan! The actress turns 29 years old today! At 16, the actress decided to move to Edinburgh and then London where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in acting. In her early career, Gillan appeared on several television series in minor roles. It was in 2009 that the actress caught her big break when she was cast as Amy Pond in Doctor Who. She was cast in her next big role when Marvel Studios chose Gillan to play Nebula in the film Guardians of the Galaxy. The actress is set to reprise her role in the blockbuster?s sequel.
