The channel Freeform is reportedly teaming up with the Emmy-winning actor Jim Parsons to develop the single-camera comedy 'The Monarchy' The show centers on the fictional monarchy of Andova, which is thrown into disarray when the king?s newly discovered illegitimate son is named as the rightful heir to the throne. The 'Big Bang Theory' star and his partner Todd Spiewak will executive produce the comedy, which will be written and co-executive produced by Amy Reed. In addition to 'The Monarchy' Parsons is also attached to executive produce 'Sheldon' a potential Big Bang Theory prequel that would premiere on CBS.
