The mining drama, initially scheduled for a wide release on Dec. 25, will now hit theaters on Jan. The film will still receive an awards-qualifying run, a Weinstein Co. rep tells The Hollywood Reporter. With a script by Patrick Massett and John Zinman, the project was financed by Black Bear Pictures, whose Teddy Schwarzman produced alongside HWY 61?s Michael Nozik and Massett, Zinman and McConaughey.
