Lead singer of soul and funk band Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Sharon Jones, passed away Friday November 18, 2016 at the age of 60 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Jones's representative released a statement saying, ?We are deeply saddened to announce that Sharon Jones has passed away after a heroic battle against pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones, including the Dap-Kings.
