Dap-Kings member, Sharon Jones, passed away this week at age 60. A post on her website stated, ?We are deeply saddened to announce that Sharon Jones has passed away after a heroic battle against pancreatic cancer.? She passed away this past Friday in Cooperstown, New York. Jones was a soulful funk singer. In 2014, she was nominated for a Grammy after creating the the album, ?Give the People What They Want.? During her career she was described as ?the female James Brown.?
