New coming-of-age film, the Edge of Seventeen, just closed at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, but The Wrap says it wasn't the film's protagonist who stole the show.
The film is about a high school girl named Nadine, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who navigates the audience through her teenage life. As is to be expected of any teenager, Nadine is too painfully self-absorbed and naive to understand her own actions, but that's why she comes to Mr. Bruner for advice.
Woody Harrelson plays Mr. Bruner, and according to The Wrap, he's the best thing the film's got going for it. When Nadine gets a little too unbearable, Harrelson is there to bring her (and the audience) back to reality.
