According to his son, Leonard Cohen who magnificently blended spirituality and sexuality in songs such as "Hallelujah," ''Suzanne" and "Bird on a Wire," has died at the age of 82. Adam Cohen said in a statement on Thursday, "My father passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles. He was writing up until his last moments with his unique brand of humor." Cohen, who remained popular with music fans even as reached his 80s, toured as recently as early 2016 and released a new album, titled "You Want it Darker," last month. The singer-songwriter originally rose to prominence during the folk music revival of the 1960s.
