Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain is reportedly set to star and produce the upcoming sci-fi thriller Painkiller Jane. The movie will be an adaption of a graphic novel series from Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada. In the film, Chastain will portray New York City street cop Jane Vasko, who is recruited by the FBI to infiltrate a major drug and human trafficking ring. After a near-death experience, Jane soon discovers that she has special regenerative healing powers, and embarks on mission of revenge to wreck havoc on those who betrayed her. A theatre release date for 'Painkiller Jane' has yet to be announced.
