Katy Perry will not be headlining Alibaba's kick-off concert to mark Singles Day in China Friday. The singer apologized to fans Wednesday, saying, "Regretfully, I must cancel my appearance on the Alibaba Double 11 due to a family emergency.? Soccer player David Beckham will take her place at the event. Alibaba called Perry a "global ambassador" in October. Perry was scheduled to be in Shenzhen alongside NBA player Kobe Bryant and the band OneRepublic at Alibaba?s gala. Singles Day is an online shopping event in China.
