VIDEO : Lil Wayne's Emotional Jail Memoir

Celebrity in this news:

In 2010, rapper Lil Wayne spent eight months in Riker's Island prison for gun possession. As soon as he knew he was going to jail, "he mapped out his plan to survive." He decided to keep a journal while he was on the inside without the intent of ever publishing a book, but his friends told him that fans would want to know what it was like for him. "Gone Til November" is Wayne's memoir, based on his diary from his time in prison. He writes about the emotional ups and downs of imprisonment and recounts a time he officiated a gay marriage. He says it was the people around him, both prisoners and guards, that helped him get through this period in his life.
