When news broke that Johnny Depp had joined the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise, fans quickly began speculating if the actor would appear in the first film. The movie, which premieres later this month, will see Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) embark on an adventure to collect his missing magical creatures before he becomes ensnared in a developing revolution courtesy of Gellert Grindelwald. As such, fans felt that Depp would have to appear in the film - and they were right.
