Singer JoJo opened up about the reasons she votes. In a recent video for Vevo's "Why I Vote" series, JoJo shared her own experience with addiction affecting her family. She called the drug problems in America a "public health epidemic." She shared that her dad was addicted to narcotics, and would slur his words, fall asleep at the wheel, and over dose to the point of hospitalization. In the video, JoJo said that she doesn't believe addicts should just be thrown in jail.
