Nicole Kidman plays a mother of an adopted son in the upcoming drama Lion, and for her, the role held a very personal meaning. In a new interview with Town & Country magazine, Kidman explained, ?I can see now, for Lion, that it was important to me because I?m a mother with adopted children. This movie is a love letter to my children.? Lion is the big-screen adaptation of Saroo Brierley?s real-life memoir, A Long Way Home, which documents his journey in finding his birth family in India after being accidentally separated from them when he was a small child.
