Adele backed away from the spotlight for four years after the phenomenal success of her album 21 in 2011. Last October she reemerged with "Hello" which has nearly 1 billion views now on YouTube. "Hello" broke a record becoming "the first song to sell over a million digital copies in its first week." It also became "the fastest video to gain Vevo certified status, which means it acquired 100 million views in just five days." And then when the full album dropped it went on to become "the fastest-selling record within its first week since Nielsen began tracking such sales in 1991."
