Tippi Hedren became famous as one of Alfred Hitchcock's iconic blondes with her role in "The Birds." But behind the scenes, the actress said the iconic director became obsessed with her. And that obsession turned into stalking and sexual assault. The New York Post says that the 86-year-old Hedren details the abuse in her new memoir.
She says Hitchcock once jumped on her and tried to kiss her while they were in his limousine. She also said he got into her dressing room one day after installing a hidden door connected to his office. Then, he his hands on her in a sexual manner.
Later Hedren says he made moves to hurt her career after she repeatedly rejected his advances. Hitchcock blocked the studio's attempt to submit her for an Oscar and stopped her for taking roles until her contract with him ran out.
