Tom Hardy will play the famous American gangster Al Capone in Josh Trank's "Fonzo." While there have been countless films depecting the Prohibition Era crime boss, no film has really focused on the end of Capone's life. That's what "Fonzo" intends to do. The film will feature Hardy as the "ailing gangster" in his "sad final days." Capone spent 8 years in prison and upon release he was suffering from "symptoms of syphilitic dementia." He died in 1947 at the age of 48. Fonzo is in pre-production and currently has no set release date.
