A source told E! News that Mariah Carey was "blindsided" when her fiance James Packer broke up with her "out of nowhere." Heartbroken Carey reportedly only learned about the breakup through the press. A source said, "The split has been devastating for Mariah. She loved James and was planning to marry him... She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James' request, so he could be closer to his children." Their relationship seems to have begun unraveling during a recent vacation to Greece. Packer was seen having an outburst where he was overheard saying, ""I don't know if I can do this. I can barely take care of my own children."
