Legendary singer and songwriter Bob Dylan, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature earlier in October, has finally acknowledged the Swedish Academy that he will accept the prize. Up until now, Dylan had not made any comment on the prize despite repeated attempts by award-givers to contact him since he was announced the winner on October 13. On Thursday, The Nobel Foundation said in a statement that Dylan this week told Sara Danius, the Secretary of the Swedish Academy, that he now accepts the prize, adding that it left him speechless. Dylan also told the British newspaper the Telegraph in an interview this week that he will be at the Nobel Prize ceremony in December if he can make it.
