VIDEO : Amy Schumer Receives Backlash over 'Formation' Parody, Although Beyonce Helped Her with It

Amy Schumer recently directed and starred in a parody music video for the Beyonce song "Formation" from the album Lemonade released earlier this year. Schumer received immediate backlash - which is typical for her as of late - due to the original song's strong African American themes, being accused of appropriating the song's message or lessening its value. Schumer however tweeted earlier that she had to thank Beyonce herself for "[their] help and releasing it."
