On Friday, actress Salma Hayek revealed that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump leaked a false story to the National Enquirer a while back after she rebuffed his request for a date. Hayek explained, "When I met that man I had a boyfriend and he tried to become his friend to get my home telephone number. He got my number and he would call me to invite me out." Hayek then said that after turning Trump down, the National Enquirer came out with a story that Trump had rejected her for a date because she was too "short." Hayek then went on to reveal that Trump reached out to her after the story was published and left a message saying, "Who would say this? I don't want people to think this about you," in another possible attempt to make her go out with him.
