Sarah Michelle Gellar gave a shoutout to Shannen Doherty on Wednesday via instagram, which is International Breast Cancer Day. Doherty has been battling with breast cancer quite publicly as an effort to destigmatize the effects of the disease. In her Instagram caption, Geller wrote, "To my left is the @theshando, my friend who is kicking cancer in the you know what. But more than that, she is sharing her battle, so people fighting this horrible disease know they are not alone." Doherty responded by regramming the picture on her own Instagram account with the caption: "Thank you for always having my back and educating all about this disease. Love you."
