The filmmaker ? who is also set to direct an untitled Alexander McQueen biopic ? will adapt and direct the limited series The North Water, based on Ian McGuire's novel. Announced Monday by See-Saw's TV COO Hakan Kousetta and head of TV Jamie Laurenson, The North Water will be a 6 x 1 series, and tell the story of a disgraced ex army surgeon who signs up as the ship?s doctor on a whaling expedition to the Arctic.
