At the age of 75 Bob Dylan became the first musician to win a Nobel Prize in literature. President Barack Obama tweeted his support of Dylan by stating "Congratulations to one of my favorite poets, Bob Dylan, on a well-deserved Nobel,". dylan created a lasting debate on whether music lyrics should be considered poetry and eligible for the prize. Dylan has made a huge precedent for the award for the first time in its 115 year history. Dylan had no immediate comment on the award.
