Actress Natalie Wood passed away in 1981. Now, thirty-five years later, her daughter Natasha Gregson "has collaborated on a book about her life." The book includes a personal essay by Wood where she writes about the sudden and shocking death of Marilyn Monroe. In the essay, Wood writes, "Her beauty, charming wit, and joy of life seemed paradoxical to the tense loneliness which she faced in her life, and was to me, clearly apparent." Wood also writes that she knew Monroe and had even seen her days before her death.
