Drake just broke the record for most American Music Award nominations in a single year. The Canadian rapper was nominated for a total of 13 nominations for his latest album, besting the previous record, set by Michael Jackson for 'Thriller' over thirty years ago. The next-highest number of nominations this year goes to Rihanna, who scored seven. Justin Bieber is tied with Adele at five nominations each.
