Selena Gomez has been spotted in public for the first time since announcing her plan to take a break from the spotlight. According to photos and video tweeted from a Selena fan account, the 24-year-old greeted admirers at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Tennessee on Saturday. In a statement released to Access Hollywood in August, the pop superstar said the side effects of her battle with lupus led her to choose to tackle her recovery in private. Gomez said at the time, "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off." She added, "I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues." Selena's "Revival" world tour was scheduled to run through December. As of Saturday, her Twitter and Instagram accounts have remained inactive since August.
