Matt Damon told reporters that he was surprised when his upcoming film "The Great Wall" was criticized for "whitewashing" and perpetuating the "white-savior" trope after the teaser was released. At a press conference, Damon responded to critics by saying, "If people see this movie and feel like there?s somehow whitewashing involved in a Creature Feature ? I will listen to that with my whole heart. And I will think about that and I will try to learn from that.
