Luc Besson previewed "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" at New York Comic Con on Friday. The film is based on a French comic book series from the late 1960s, but the look has been updated significantly. Seven minutes of unfinished footage were unveiled at the event. Besson told reporters that he has read the comics since he was 10 years old and even credits the comic for helping shape him into the filmmaker he is today.
