Speaking on Friday at a New York Comic Con panel for her upcoming film "Underworld: Blood Wars," actress Kate Beckinsale responded to a question about whether a potential crossover could ever occur between the Underworld universe and the "Blade" franchise, saying "No. We had that idea..." then adding "They're busy. They're doing something with Blade." And now the internet is a buzz with rumors as to just what Marvel is doing with Blade, after reacquiring the film rights in August of 2012. The last entry in the franchise was 2004's "Blade: Trinity", but fans have been clamoring news of another in the saga since July 2015, when Wesley Snipes revealed that he had met with Marvel Studios, following which, in May of this year, the character was supposedly getting his own Netflix series, until just a week later, Snipes tweeted, "When it comes to another BLADE, there's always a possibility. Ball's in Marvels court..." And now, according to Beckinsale, that ball might be in play.
