The Empire cast recently voiced their support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in a new Lee Daniels-directed ad. The commercial features the show's show's creator Daniels and stars Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Gray, Trai and Grace Byers, Jussie Smollett, Gabourey Sidibe and Tasha Smith. "So many women and men died for us to have the right to vote,? says Daniels in the video. ?Every time we sit out, we dishonor their sacrifices.? The stars also express their support of Clinton for her views on healthcare, women's issues and gun violence. The ad comes just a day after the vice presidential debate between Tim Kaine and Mike Pence. Clinton and Trump are set to square off again in the second presidential debate on Sunday.
