Director J.J. Abrams has successfully brought numerous storied franchises to the big screen, including series like Star Wars and Star Trek, but Abrams has another beloved franchise in his sights, and it may be happening sooner rather than later. "We have a meeting coming up next week with Valve, we?re very active, I?m hoping that there will be a Portal announcement fairly soon." Said Abrams.
The Portal series is adored within the gaming community, not just for it's refined and addictive puzzle solving gameplay, but for its eccentric humor and quirky characters. Abrams wouldn't share details on the proposed plot of the film, but did say that the team he's assembled really gets what makes the franchise unique.
