James Corden and Shawn Mendes squared off in a musical competition Wednesday night. The Late Late Show segment began with Mendes and the host disagreeing on which was better, new songs, or songs from Corden's youth. Then the two sparred in a back-and-forth singing competition with backing from an a Capella group. In the end, Mendes and Corden joined together to cover 'Scrubs' by TLC and Mendes' own hit 'stitches.' Later in the show, the singer joined Corden and the night's other guests for the panel.
