VIDEO : Martin Scorsese's 'Silence' 26 Years. Many Legal Battles In The Making

Paramount Pictures will finally release Martin Scorsese's Silence in November. The film is about the persecution of a Jesuit missionary in 17th century Japan. Based on an award-winning Japanese novel by Shusaku Endo and starring Liam Neeson, production took an astonishing 26 years to complete and has been the subject of all sorts of litigation and dealmaking. Seven or eight production companies are credited on the film.
