Mark Wahlberg hopes that his latest film "Deepwater Horizon" honors "the real-life victims of the 2010 oil rig disaster." Wahlberg said that when he was approached to do the film he thought, "What better way to promote their story?" The film focuses on the hours leading up to the BP oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that took place in April 2010. It was "the worst offshore oil disaster in U.S. history." "Deepwater Horizon" hits theaters on Friday, September 30.
