According to The Hollywood Reporter '12 Years a Slave' director Steve McQueen will direct the feature film adaption of the 1980s British TV series 'Widows' with actress Viola Davis set to star in one of the lead roles. The plot of the movie covers the exploits of a group of four widows looking to pull off an attempted robbery that killed their late husbands. McQueen's film will reportedly be set in a contemporary American city and places its four female at the front and center of the film.
