Handwritten letters, a checkbook and dresses worn by Mariyln Monroe will all go to auction in Los Angeles in November. More than 1,200 personal possessions of Monroe will be included in the auction. Dozens of the items that will up for auction were shown in Beijing on Tuesday to a group of private Chinese collectors. The collection included cosmetics, jewelry, shoes and purses. Her private letters give a deeper insight into the more personal side of Monroe, who became one of the most famous American sex symbols. She died at the age of 36.
