Fans are eager for Alien 5 but they're going to have to wait some more, since it's just been announced that the project has been put on the backburner. Sigourney Weaver confirmed the postponement saying that director Neill Blompkamp has "work to do." Weaver also said, "I have things going on. I hope we do get to do it." Weaver said that she thought that Ridley Scott wanted to postpone the project as well since Alien:Convenant is being released and he wouldn't want the projects to overlap.
