Award-winning executive producer, writer and director John Ridley has left the Creative Arts Agency, according to The Wrap. A source close to the filmmaker said Ridley wants to focus on making TV rather than movies, and wants to take a break from representation. Ridley most recently wrote the screenplay for ?Ben Hur.? He was the second African-American to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, for his work on ?12 Years a Slave." While writing "American Crime" for ABC, he is also developing a new series with Marvel at the company.
