It's no surprise that after its critically acclaimed first season, Jessica Jones season 2 was quickly greenlit. However the release date now depends on the upcoming team-up miniseries 'The Defenders' which will bring Jones together with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. Thankfully for fans, new plot details for season two of Jessica Jones season have been revealed this week. In an interview with Empire, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg explained that even though David Tennant's Kilgrave is gone, Jessica will still be dealing with that trauma from his actions in season 1. Rosenberg added that with Luke Cage and Kilgrave missing from season 2, Jessica's friendship with her adopted sister Trish will be the main plot of the series.
