British actress Maggie Smith has been nominated nine times for an Emmy award and she's won three of them without ever showing up to the awards ceremony. Jimmy Kimmel made a joke when he was hosting the show that stars needed to be present to win their awards. He called this the " Maggie Smith rule." When she won again this year Kimmel said, "Maggie, if you want this, it will be in the lost and found.? Smith responded on the Masterpiece Theater Twitter account, saying, "If Mr. Kimmel could please direct me to the lost and found office I will be on the next flight.?
