Marc Jacobs did not respond well to criticism over his latest show at New York Fashion Week that featured mainly Caucasian models sporting rainbow dreads. Many viewers took to social media to accuse Jacobs of cultural appropriation. When Jacobs learned of the outrage he responded by saying "it's funny that women of color are not criticized for straightening their hair." This comment only made matters worse and eventually led to the designer apologizing via Instagram on Sunday saying, he was sorry for "the lack of sensitivity unintentionally expressed by my brevity."
