Jonathan Demme loves to make concert films. He's captured the thrill of live concerts by the Talking Heads, Neil Young and Robyn Hitchcock and most recently he focused his lens on pop icon Justin Timberlake. Demme said, "I've come to belive that...shooting live music is kind of like the purest form of filmmaking." His latest film, Justin Timberlake & The Tennessee Kids, premiered on Tuesday at the Toronto International Film Festival.
