Filmmaker Dennis Villeneuve is a director on the rise in Hollywood. His new film, Arrival is already earning excellent reviews, and he's set to helm the long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott's 'Blade Runner.' But Villeneuve says the project he'd really like to make is an adaptation of Frank Herbert's sci-fi novel 'Dune.' The director recently told Variety, quote, "A longstanding dream of mine is to adapt ?Dune,? but it?s a long process to get the rights, and I don?t think I will succeed. Also I would love to write something myself. I have two [sci-fi] projects right now that are in various stages. It?s too early to talk about them."
