It's been three years since G.I. Retaliation was released and those involved have been mostly quiet in regards to a sequel, however there may be some life left in the franchise. Paramount Pictures is rumored to be working on third G.I. Joe movie, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returning as lead actor, despite mixed reception of the previous titles. And if they want The Rock they'll be waiting a while.
