TheWrap has confirmed that the showrunner for Lee Daniels? ?Empire? follow-up called ?Star? has left the series over creative differences with his bosses.
Producer and writer Charles Murray has stepped down from the new Fox show during midseason. He did not share the same vision for the series as co-creators Daniels and Tom Donaghy -- so they decided to part ways.
A search for a new ?Star? showrunner is underway and a replacement is expected to be named shortly.
